Dr. Volker Karuth · Pharma Sales & KAM Coaching
Your expertise belongs to you. Not your employer.
Visible on LinkedIn. A closer in the room. Independent of the next reorg.
You lead the team, carry the targets and own the relationships. As a manager, key account manager or rep in pharma sales, you've built something no system can copy.
I've been where you want to go. 30 years in pharma sales, from the field to Sales Director in oncology. Seven companies, seven ways of selling, from Novartis to J&J. I know what actually works, and what's only on the slides.
I'll show you how to turn your experience into influence: on LinkedIn, in front of decision-makers, and in your own career.
Free. No obligation. One conversation to find out where you stand and what's next.

Who Is Dr. Volker Karuth
Volker Karuth has sat where you sit. Since 1996 he has worked in pharma sales as a sales rep, key account manager, regional sales manager and Sales Director, Oncology. He has run territories, defended brands against generics and fought for access when doors were closing. He knows the targets that grow every year, and he knows the HQ slides that never quite match the field.
The difference: he started preparing for what comes next earlier than most.
Volker came to pharma sales straight from a PhD in computational chemistry, a scientist who learned to sell. That mix still shapes how he works: human trust first, then the data and tools to make it count. He is an EU AI Act Certified Coach, a BDVT-certified trainer and a lecturer at the Pharma Akademie in Bremen. He built his own visibility on LinkedIn long before it was on any corporate agenda.
Seven companies gave him one advantage most leaders never get: he has seen seven ways of selling from the inside. He knows what holds up and what only works on the slides.
His best-known model, Rookie to Ironman, treats pharma sales as a long-distance event, not a set of quick closing tricks. His focus is the part that takes endurance: long-term customer relationships and complex institutions where a buying committee decides, not one person.
Behind all of it sits one belief: your expertise belongs to you, not your employer.
That belief drives the KAM Masterclass, the LinkedIn Positioning System and the KeyAccount Werkstatt, as well as the Pharma Sales Master podcast and YouTube channel and the LinkedIn newsletter "Sales Care Reminder."

...VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD, AMBITIOUS AND SUCCESSFUL
"I hired him as sales rep for Novartis in 1997, where I got him to know as very straight forward, ambitious and successful.
After 2.5 years I promoted him to FirstLineSalesmanager in dermatology/immunology, where he successfully lead 8 reps.
In 2001 he switched to the newly built Novartis key-account-department"
